Our Services

The South Island FarmHub provides two ways to get fresh food from local farms to your kitchen: a Harvest Box subscription and à la carte. Our Harvest Box subscription provides you with a bounty of fresh, local produce from our partner farms all year round. With à la carte you can shop all of the delicious local items in our store without the commitment of a subscription, or have them added right into your Harvest Box.

Harvest Boxes

Our Harvest Boxes are a deliciously curated box of 6–8 locally-sourced and seasonal produce items, harvested with care the day before delivery. You can choose between a Harvest Box that uses produce from both conventional and organic farms, or an Organic Harvest Box which includes produce sourced only from certified organic farms in the CRD, as recognized by the Islands Organic Producers Association (IOPA) and Pacific Agricultural Certification Society (PACS).

Boxes are $40 and are offered year-round. We offer a subscription service that can be delivered to your front door or picked up in one of our three pickup locations weekly or bi-weekly. Or, you can order a one-time box to try it out!

Did You Know...

We also offer egg subscriptions! Get 15% off farm fresh eggs by subscribing and have them automatically added to your Harvest Box, or include them in an à la carte order through our shop (with a $40 minimum purchase).

Our à la carte option allows you to supplement your Harvest Box with additional goods, or to purchase all the tasty items from our store without having to commit to a subscription.

 

Our store is open from Thursday at 2 pm until Sunday at midnight. 

In our store you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products like cheese, milk, and yogurt, meat and fish, eggs, baked goods, coffee, preserves, sauces, spices, mushrooms, drinks, honey, granola, dry goods... you name it! The best part? They're from all your favourite Island producers. You know, the ones that you keep an eye out for at every farmers market.

Sustainability Fee

We strive to make our service as environmentally friendly as possible. For all of our customers, we charge a one-time sustainability fee of $20 so that we can pack your order in reusable, durable bins. Thank you for helping us make greener choices!

Delivery Details

We offer home delivery every Wednesday and Thursday, with the day of delivery depending on your neighbourhood. We have a $6 delivery charge.

On Wednesdays, we deliver to the areas of Victoria and Saanich, including Downtown, Fernwood, Hillside, James Bay, Fairfield, Oak Bay, Uplands, Cadboro Bay, and Ten Mile Point. 

On Thursdays, we deliver to the neighbourhoods of ​Esquimalt, View Royal, Langford, Colwood, and Gorge/Tillicum/Burnside.

If you're uncertain if we can deliver to you, feel free to contact usIf you're located outside of our delivery areas, we encourage you to use one of our pickup locations, or we can arrange delivery to your workplace.

Pickup Details

We have two pickup locations around the Greater Victoria area to best serve you.

Esquimalt: You can pick up your order on Wednesdays from 9 am until 12 pm at 808 Viewfield Road. Pickup is contactless from the FarmHub bay door (closest to the Flying Squirrel) where you will find your bin(s) under your name.
 
Central Saanich: We offer pick-up on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 6 pm at 4243 Glanford Ave #260 (MLA Lana Popham's office). 

The Dock: Dock patrons can pickup their order at the Dock on Wednesdays from 11 am to 5 pm.

If you have issues or questions during pick-up, please contact the FarmHub directly. The staff at the Dock, the Mustard Seed, and MLA Popham’s office are not responsible for any FarmHub operations.

Subscription Agreement

Subscribing to a produce box is a commitment to our farmers and to the FarmHub. We operate 12 months of the year, so subscriptions will continue unless requested to cancel. You can always put a hold on or cancel your subscription by updating your account before Sunday at midnight for that coming week. If you forget to cancel or put your box on hold for holidays, your credit card will be charged and we will happily donate your box. Please reach out if you have any questions!

Wholesale Information

Ordering wholesale through the South Island FarmHub helps you to support local farms and a sustainable food economy while providing your organization with fresh, flavourful, harvested-to-order produce all in a one-stop shop. Plus, when you partner with us, the FarmHub is proud to promote your organization through our marketing channels and networks. To get started, sign up for our weekly Fresh Sheet that details what we have in the store each week, and register in our store as a wholesaler.



The FarmHub store is open for ordering from Thursdays at 2 pm until Sundays at midnight, with a minimum $200 order. We offer both delivery and pickup options. Wholesale deliveries for Victoria/Saanich are on Tuesdays and Esquimalt/Westshore is on Thursdays. Pickup can be arranged at our Esquimalt warehouse from Tuesday until Thursday, and at our Central Saanich pickup location on Thursdays. Click here for more pickup information. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do the subscriptions work? A: You can subscribe to a weekly or bi-weekly Harvest Box order, depending on what works best for you. In our online store, your Harvest Box will automatically be added into your cart the week prior when the store opens (Thursday at 2 pm), giving you time to add any other goodies you need to your order before the store closes (Sunday at midnight). The day you receive your order, your credit card on file will be charged and we will send you the invoice. Voila!

Q: Do I have to subscribe, or can I order week-to-week? A: Absolutely. You can shop all of our tasty local items without subscription through our store, à la carte, including our Harvest Boxes.

Q: Do I choose the items in my Harvest Box? A: The Harvest Boxes are preset and cannot be changed. Each week we curate the Harvest Boxes based on what is in season, what our partnered farms have to offer, and what's delicious! We aim to provide a changing variety of produce from week-to-week and throughout the year.

Q: Can I know what's in my Harvest Box beforehand? A: Yes! We will send you an email on the Friday prior to your Harvest Box order to let you know what's in your box and which local farms your produce is from. We will even include a recipe for you!

Q: What is the difference between the Harvest and Organic Harvest Box? A: Organic Harvest Boxes contain produce from certified organic local farms, as recognized by the Islands Organic Producers Association (IOPA) and Pacific Agricultural Certification Society (PACS). Harvest Boxes contain produce from local farms, regardless of certification. It is the FarmHub's mission to support all farmers in the region, which is why we offer an IOPA-certified Organic Box and a Harvest Box—so that all growers are included and community members can choose what fits their needs.

Q: Can I cancel or put my subscription on hold? A: Yes, you can easily hold or cancel your subscription by submitting a hold request in your account. We kindly ask that you do so before Sunday at midnight to cancel your order for the coming week. Our subscription service is year-round, so it will continue unless cancelled. If you forget to cancel or put your box on hold before leaving town, your credit card will be charged and we will happily donate your box. To create a hold, go to Account > Subscriptions > Options > Create a Hold or Request Cancellation, and then enter the dates for the hold. You can also submit a cancellation request here.
